We visited this museum and got to see the house that Eisenhower grew up in with his parents & 8 siblings. It was very interesting to listen to the guide talk about him and his family living in this house. This picture of the living room was probably the only room in the house that the kids were not allowed to play in according to the guide. His mother made a baked something like 8 loaves of bread - EVERY DAY! Thank God for frozen bread - or even shelf bread. Yeah, I'm spoiled. And can you imagine the laundry for that large a family? All the children grew up to suceed in life. It was an enjoyable day there, and we got our exercise walking between the buildings. Of course, there is a gift store there, too.
